Weigel joins Agri-Nutrition Consulting as Dairy Nutrition Consultant

Megan Weigel of Edgar, WI has joined Agri-Nutrition Consulting (ANC) as a Dairy Nutrition Consultant in January 2017. Megan graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls with an animal science degree and has worked in the A.I. industry, primarily with large dairies on reproduction consulting.  Megan has a passion for helping farms become more profitable and has a diverse background in the animal industry. Keilen Joins Agri-Nutrition Consulting as Michigan Dairy Nutrition Consultant

Kristi Keilen of Westphalia, MI has joined Agri-Nutrition Consulting (ANC) as a Nutrition Consultant in September 2016. Kristi Keilen grew up in central Michigan where she attended Michigan State University to achieve her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Agronomy.  She has worked in dairy nutrition, seed sales/agronomy, grain buying, and as a calf specialist.   Kristi and her husband Matthew and their son Brody spend a lot of time on Matthew’s family’s dairy farm in Westphalia, MI, that they co-own together and milk around 450 cows. They also farm about 1900 acres and raise all of their own heifers on a separate farm.  Kristi also enjoys promoting the dairy industry and is involved in her local Farm Bureau. She is also a coordinator for Dairy Girl Network peer groups in Michigan. Reschke joins ANC as 2016 Sales Intern

Alicia Reschke has joined Agri-Nutrition Consulting this summer as a sales intern. Alicia grew up in Green Bay, WI and graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in animal science with a dairy emphasis. In college, she worked on the University farm where she milked cows and took care of the calves. Growing up, Alicia had no agriculture background, but fell in love working with animals when she went out to her aunt’s ranch and helped with the horses. From there, Alicia got an opportunity to help milk on a small farm nearby. In her free time, Alicia enjoys being outside hiking, fishing, and hunting. She also does Tae Kwan Do and likes to bowl. In Alicia’s sales internship this summer, she will focus on learning the ANC program and products, collecting customer testimonials, and assisting the sales team with calf research projects.  ANC is very excited to have Alicia join us this...

Recap: ANC National Sales Meeting April 5-7, 2016

Last week, ANC held our annual National Sales Meeting in Madison, WI at the Holiday Inn at the American Center.  With so many new and exciting changes and a new line-up of brand new employees and consultants, our team rolled in on Tuesday night with anticipation of the next few days of fellowship and learning together. On Wednesday, April 6th the meeting officially kicked off with a message from Sarah Kuechle, Form-A-Feed Director of Marketing, about the many synergies of the Nelson Family of Companies. She addressed how each company in the Nelson Family of Companies is a resource for one another.  If someone within ANC does not have a solution to a problem, they have a whole network of quality people from the seven different Nelson Family Companies. Setting the tone for the whole meeting, Mario Flores, also from Form-A-Feed, presented next with his presentation on working together as a team to solve problems on dairies. Out next guest speaker was Phil Cardoso from the University of Illinois, sponsored by Lallemand Animal Nutrition.  He spoke on Cow Comfort, Facilities and Environmental Effects on Dry Matter Intake and Production. Afternoon topics and speakers on Wednesday included Dr. Drew Vermeire from NRV on Ash Contents in Milk Replacer, Rick Mages on Form-A-Feed’s Stealth 5 product and Mitch Deimund from Diamond V on NutriTek and Product Positioning. Lopez joins ANC as Nutrition Consultant/Technical Specialist

Marco Lopez of Boise, Idaho has joined Agri-Nutrition Consulting (ANC) as a Nutrition Consultant and Technical Specialist in March 2016. Marco grew up in Central Mexico. Dairy farming was part of his life while growing up around his grandparent’s farm in Mexico. In 1991, he moved to the state of Washington where he had the opportunity to continue working on dairy farms while attending high school and college. Upon graduation from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, Marco spent time in Minnesota and Michigan working as a Territory/Market Manager for Monsanto’s Dairy Business Unit. Marco later joined Varied Industries Corporation (Vi-COR) as a Dairy Specialist providing technical support to Sales Managers, dairy producers and agribusiness in the Eastern United States. Marco has experience consulting in Western Europe, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. He has worked with dairies ranging in size from a few cows to multi-site dairy operations milking 10,000+ cows. Marco’s goal in his position with ANC is to provide quality consulting services to help producers advance forward to reach the next level of profitability, animal health and employee performance through innovative solutions, results-proven products and the most up-to-date technical information and training. He believes that healthy cows are productive cows and competent and well trained employees are valuable employees.
